ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — An Albany man was arrested after a traffic stop during which police said the driver had cocaine, meth and marijuana. Thursday at 7:19 p.m., Albany County Sheriff’s Deputies patrolling in the City of Albany, conducted a traffic stop in the area of Livingston Avenue and Henry Johnson Boulevard.

State Police arrest three people for allegedly driving drunk with children in the vehicle
State Police have arrested three people recently for allegedly driving while intoxicated with children in their vehicles. Andrew P. Smith, 36, of Troy, was stopped on Hoosick Street in Brunswick around 12:30 a.m. on July 21. He was taken to the State Police station, where he recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.27%. – over three times the legal limit. In addition, police said Smith’s license is revoked because of a previous DWI conviction.
No injuries reported in Thornton Street fire in Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Albany firefighters worked early Saturday morning to get a fire under control after it broke out at a residence on Thornton Street. First responders said they were called to the scene, between Second and Third Streets, at approximately 1:29 a.m. and responded only a minute later. By 3:41 a.m., the fire was marked under control.
