Averill Park graduate Winkler competing again in hammer throw
This is the third Olympics for Averill Park graduate Rudy Winkler. Winkler is competing in the men’s hammer throw. Winkler finished in the top three of the U.S. Olympic trials in June. The former NewsChannel 13 Athlete of the Week is a two-time national champion. He placed seventh at the Olympics in Tokyo. He has had some injuries, but said he now feels healthy and ready to make a run for a medal.

Siena men’s basketball to battle Bucknell For McNamara homecoming
In the final season of his decorated collegiate playing career, Scranton native Gerry McNamara and Syracuse played in front of his home crowd in Northeast Pennsylvania. And, in his first season as a head coach, McNamara will bring his new team back to that same arena for the venue's first NCAA Division I men's basketball game since. Maggie Davenport Returns to Alma Mater as Siena Women’s Swimming and Diving Head Coach
Former Siena College team captain Maggie Davenport '19 has been appointed as the new head coach of the Siena Women's Swimming and Diving program by Vice President and Director of Athletics John D'Argenio. The Siena Volleyball team's 51st varsity season schedule for 2024 has been revealed, featuring 30 matches, including 13 home matches and two tests outside of conference play in early season tournaments. The team will also host the MAAC Championship Tournament from Nov. 21-24, where the top eight finishers will advance to postseason play.
