N.J. library could be closed for rest of the year after disturbing find
A library in Somerset County may remain closed the rest of the year after asbestos was found in the building, library and borough officials said. The Bound Brook Memorial Library closed in October when officials found asbestos in a newer part of the building. The health hazard was discovered when workers made some grant-funded repairs, said Brian Auger, the director of the Somerset County Library System.

Upper Makefield takes action to reduce flooding
Upper Makefield officials are moving forward with plans to better control stormwater runoff and thereby help mitigate flooding issues in the township. At a recent public meeting, the five-person board of supervisors that locally governs the municipality gave township engineering firm Gilmore & Associates the green light to proceed with the engineering and permitting required to make improvements to retention basins in the Washington Meadows development off Route 532 and at Ascension Church.
