    Shawnee man charged with killing a dozen cattle

    Shawnee, Okla. (KFOR) – Authorities say a 18-year-old man is in custody for killing a dozen cattle.

    Police say Christopher Wallace is facing animal cruelty charges for livestock theft. Wallace is accused of using a crossbow to kill the cattle that were the property of Saint Gregory’s Abbey in Shawnee.

    Officials estimate the cattle loss is near $35,000 for Abbey’s Mission which had intentions to breed or sale the cattle.
