Chamber Celebrates New City Public Restrooms
The Chamber celebrated the addition of new public restrooms in the City of Sheridan with an Ambassadors’ ribbon cutting on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. The five deluxe portable restrooms are temporary for the summer season and are located on Grinnell Plaza between Verdello and the City Hall building. Two of the restrooms are designated for men, two for women and one is a family restroom with a changing table. The restrooms include toilet paper, paper towels and soap and are fully functioning with water, sewer and electricity. City to Apply for Loans for South Downtown Project
The City of Sheridan will apply for two loans for an infrastructure project located just south of the Sheridan County Courthouse that encompasses south Main Street to the east, west College to the south, west Whitney to the north, and up to Thurmond to the west. The City Council approved two separate resolutions at their business meeting Monday night authorizing the submission of a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan application in the amount of $2.4 million and a Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan application in the amount of $2.6 million to fund the Sheridan South Downtown project. Sheridan Commission OKs GGM Campground CUP
A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a commercial RV campground to be located in Arvada has been approved by the Sheridan County Commission. According to the report from the County Public Works Department, GGM, LLC, represented by managing member Thaddeus Stolz, applied for the CUP for the construction and operation of the RV campground on a 0.640acre parcel located on the south side of Main Street in unincorporated Arvada, which is currently zoned A-Agricultural.
The Sheridan Press names community room after Moats
SHERIDAN (WNE) — The Sheridan Press office dedicated its newly available community room by honoring its namesake June 26. The Moats Community Room is a conference room available for rental in The Sheridan Press building. The room itself served as the publisher’s office for decades before being remodeled into a conference room available for rent by anyone in the community for a variety of uses.
