Open Streets Boston Goes Big For Jamaica Plain
BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It was clear skies and clear roads for the largest Open Streets Boston event of the summer Sunday. The third annual Open Streets Boston closes more than a mile of roads to vehicular traffic in six neighborhoods on six different weekends, letting local businesses expand into the street and creating safe room for games, music, community tabling, and more.

Troop 382 Builds New Footbridge for Westborough’s Sandra Pond
By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Boy Scout Troop 382 has helped the Westborough Department of Public Works and Conservation Land Trust build a new footbridge over the Sandra Pond spillway. A spokesman for the Land Trust’s Stewardship Committee tells the Community Advocates the 24-foot-long footbridge is a great example of community collaboration. Officials say the goal is to keep hikers and fishermen from crossing the spillway and causing more damage to it. The DPW is next planning to build a path on both sides of the bridge.
