Local artist Sofia Gonzalez-Ortiz to unveil ‘Be The Change’ Mural at T6 Game Link in Silverdale
Local artist Sofia Gonzalez-Ortiz will unveil her “Be The Change” mural at Silverdale’s new gaming center, T6 Game Link, on Saturday, July 20. The mural, part of a four-wall series, spans 10×28 feet in the main game room. Using the open doorway as a metaphor, Gonzalez-Ortiz designed and painted the mural with the goal of bringing vibrant and playful energy into the community’s gaming lounge, said a T6 Game Link press release.

Ed Bennett’s mural on the side of his Bedminster barn is finally complete. The finishing touch was the American flag he had mounted on the roof as a three-dimensional extension of his painting, which shows black, brown, white and red-tinted forearms and hands reaching upward, clasping a pole. Bennett, who owns and operates the Galvanized America Inn and Art Gallery with his wife, Sherri, said the mural is meant to evoke a message of inclusivity and diversity. DOYLESTOWN, PA—Doylestown Township has rescheduled its July 17 concert at Central Park for Friday, July 19, due to weather concerns. The show by Studio Two-The Beatles Tribute will be moved to Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at the C&N Amphitheater in Central Park as part of the township’s Thompson Performing Arts Summer Concert Series.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER Officials postponed the concert because of forecasts calling for “strong” thunderstorms to begin on Wednesday afternoon. It was the third concert the township rescheduled in this year’s series. Studio Two-The Beatles Tribute focuses on music the band played live when it was playing in clubs and on tour. The Beatles stopped touring and became a studio-only band in 1966. The tribute band’s Facebook page said it considers the music from those years “the most exciting and fun time in the Beatles career.” More information about the show and the concert series can be found on the township’s Department of Parks & Recreation website.
