Greene Central Claims No. 2 Spot in nation in Small Town Top 25 Rankings. In a spectacular season that showcased deep talent and incredible defense, Greene Central High School baseball clinched the No. 2 position out of all teams in the United States within the Small Town Top 25 high school baseball rankings. Greene Central's achievement comes on the heels of their victory in the North Carolina Class 2A state championship, where they swept Burns High School, the 2023 2A state champions, who finished this season at No. 25. This is Greene Central’s 6th state championship.
Schools to make opioid overdose drug available on campuses
Pitt County Schools will make a drug that can reverse opioid overdose available on campuses beginning in August. The Board of Education last week unanimously approved a policy making the drug naloxone available for emergency use beginning with the 2024-25 school year. WCC signs transfer agreement with FSU
GOLDSBORO – Wayne Community College is partnering with Fayetteville State University in the four-year school’s Bronco Benefit guaranteed transfer initiative. FSU established the Bronco Benefit transfer program to create a supportive and seamless process for students graduating with associate degrees in approved transfer degree programs who meet the university’s transfer admissions requirements to gain a direct-entry pathway to FSU.
