The summer was hot and we have not seen snow in months. The most appropriate way to celebrate the season commencing, it seems, beyond big sales at snowboard retail stores and affordable prices on season passes, is through a good old fashion golf tournament.

Two worthy golf tournaments to take note of are from Chill Foundation on the East Coast, and Save A Brain in the middle of the country. Utah, to be more specific.

Chill Foundation's golf tournament took place yesterday in Killington, Vermont. It seems as though it was an incredible turn out. 245 golfers, 62 teams, and more than 30 volunteers linked up on the golf course to support the Youth of the Chill Foundation. With the support of the 40 plus sponsors and 245 golfers, over $245,000 was raised to support the Chill Foundation. The silent auction is still going on. Bid now!

If you missed the Chill Foundation golf tournament, no need to fret. There is a Save A Brain golf tournament happening at Mountain Dell Golf Course outside of Salt Lake City, Utah on September 9th. The winning team gets to take home bragging rights for a year and your very own unique brain trophy, and there are still spots to sign up! It is an event you will not want to miss. What a way to kick off the season, surrounded by a bunch of your friends and other fellow snowboarders playing some good, old fashioned golf.
