    South Bend Police investigate shooting with three wounded, 100 rounds fired

    SOUTH BEND — South Bend Police continue to investigate a shooting Sunday morning that left three people wounded.

    Just before 1:15 a.m. Sunday, July 28, South Bend Police responded to shots fired in the 1300 block of East Bissell Street.

    Upon arrival, officers located three victims with apparent gunshot wounds. All were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

    More than 100 rounds are believed to have been fired in this incident, with multiple homes and vehicles struck by gunfire.

    The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
