Local musician hosts benefit concert for Turning Point Center
Brandon-based musician Breanna Elaine has taken matters into her own hands after her close friend died of a drug overdose. She will soon be releasing her new single “Where the snakes live” — a tribute to her late friend — at an event that will raise money for Turning Point Center Rutland, a non profit substance recovery center.

Body of N.J. man who went missing in Vermont river waterfall recovered
The body of a 35-year-old Bergen County man who went missing Saturday while swimming in a waterfall area in Vermont river was recovered Wednesday, authorities said. Tuan Baldino, of Paramus, was reported missing at 1:34 p.m. Saturday at the Cascades section of Warren Falls in the Mad River, Vermont State Police said.

Bellows Falls man nabbed for 3 bank robberies in 2 days
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A Bellows Falls man faces federal charges after authorities say he pulled off three bank robberies in two days. According to court documents, Stephen Loewe, 42, walked into the M&T Bank in Springfield Tuesday morning and demanded cash. Later that afternoon, he went to the Claremont Savings Bank in Springfield and handed the teller a note demanding $500. He then stole a car from a gas station.
