Tahoe woman rescues Mexican street dogs to bring to the states
RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A Tahoe woman is looking to expand her efforts in rescuing Mexican street dogs. Three years ago, Toree Warfield took a trip to Cancun and was beside herself to see the state of the country’s street dogs. For the 200k homeless dogs in Cancun alone, there’s only one municipal shelter with 50 cages.

Lost Pets After 4th of July
After the Fourth of July festivities, the Washoe County Regional Animal Services is dealing with the aftermath of animals frightened from the fireworks escaping their homes. They've had 25 intakes of dogs throughout the county, and they came into the office to over 40 messages from people trying to find their lost dogs. They've currently returned 12 to 15 dogs, and they want to remind folks how important it is to microchip their dogs.
