Galvin Avenue in Marshfield to be Closed Starting July 8th
Galvin Avenue will be closed by the City of Marshfield Street Division from 4th Street to 375 feet North. The closure will commence on July 8th at 8:00AM and is expected to last for 3 weeks. During the first week of the closure, Canadian National will be completing track-crossing repairs. The remaining time will be utilized by the Street Division to work with American Asphalt to mill the existing pavement and make repairs for a new surface.
Central Fire and EMS District to re-evaluate signs
The Central Fire & EMS board decided to move an update to the stations’ signage on to next year’s budget as well as temporarily increase the per diem payment for EMT trips to Marshfield due to the construction on Highway 13, making trips longer, at their most recent meeting on June 20. They also decided to extend chief Joe Mueller’s contract for 90 days while considerations are made on a longer term contract.
