Abbotsford Canucks Sign Layton Ahac To Boost Defensive Line for 2024-25 Season
The Abbotsford Canucks have signed Layton Ahac to a one-year contract for the 2024-25 season, adding depth to their defense. The 23-year-old defenseman from North Vancouver previously played for the Prince George Spruce Kings in the BCHL before being drafted by the Vegas Golden Knights. At 6'2" and 205 pounds, Layton recorded five assists in 69 games for the Henderson Silver Knights last season along with 31 penalty minutes.

One of seven arrested after the execution of a search warrant back in May appeared in Portage County Court on Monday. Back on May 22nd, members of the Stevens Point/Plover SWAT Team executed a search warrant at 2817 Water St. in Stevens Point. The team then executed another search warrant at 500 Forest St. The warrants were narcotics related and multiple individuals were expected to be at each residence.

Wausau Finance Committee Approves Budget Transfer From Snow Removal to Summer Road Work
(Mike Leischner, WSAU) The Wausau Finance Committee has approved a $200,000 budget transfer from this year’s snow removal plan to summer road work.
