    2024-03-18

WEBSTER — Artists and crafters are invited to apply for booth space at the 35th-annual Arts & Crafts Extravaganza scheduled for the Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 25, in Webster.

This is the largest one-day arts and crafts show in Burnett County, attracting up to 100 vendors and an estimated 2,300 to 3,000 visitors in any given year. It is organized by the Webster Area Chamber of Commerce (WACC).

The show is held at the Webster High School soccer field, two blocks west of Highway 35. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Admission and parking are free. Driving time from the Twin Cities is one and a half to two hours.

Joanie McKeown is the WACC Craft Fair chair. Letters with applications were mailed to all 2023 vendors with a deadline of March 31 to guarantee a site. Vendors submitting after March 15 will be assigned spaces as their applications are received.

“We’ll try to honor as many site location requests as possible. Register early,” said McKeown.

There is no electricity and generators are not permitted.

The letter, application, online payment option and other details are available on the WACC website: websterwisconsin.com. Click on “Events” to find the documents. New vendors are welcome pending approval of artwork or products to meet show standards. Decisions on new applications will be made as they come in. Acceptance letters and maps will be sent out the first week of May.
