The St. Louis Cardinals have a new look this season without some of their legacy players.

Last season, they bid farewell to Adam Wainwright, who finished his career with exactly 200 wins and a 3.53 ERA.

On Thursday, Wainwright posted a video on Twitter of himself opening a package from a former nemesis and a personal hero of his.

"You just made me a Cubs fan for at least a few minutes," Wainwright joked after opening his package. "Unbelievable job. Thank you so much."

The gift came from Ian Happ of the Chicago Cubs, who feasted off of Wainwright during his career. It also featured a handwritten note from Eddie Vedder of the rock band Pearl Jam, who is a Cubs fan, plus a new ukelele.

Since retiring, Wainwright has stayed in the game as an announcer and analyst, but also has launched a country music career. Knowing this, Happ and Vedder conspired together to give the Cardinals legend an amazing gift.

But this was quite the surprise from Wainwright. Having played against Happ, one wouldn't typically expect Wainwright, a Cardinals legend, to receive a gift from an old rival with the Cubs.

But Happ set all of that aside and was nice enough to give him a truly incredible gift to enjoy as he progresses in his music career, as well as join forces with a personal hero of Wainwright's.

The soon-to-be 43-year-old right-hander even has an album to his name titled "Hey Y'all."
