Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will be trying to make Kansas City the first franchise in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls. The Chiefs are in very good shape to do just that, having re-signed Kelce and pass-rusher Chris Jones. The Chiefs also signed stud wideout Hollywood Brown, and drafted a bunch of impact players, including speedy receiver Xavier Worthy.

The Jaguars, meanwhile, hope to bounce back after a horrendous collapse at the tail end of the 2023 season. Trevor Lawrence led Jacksonville to an 8-3 start, but fizzled out with a 1-5 record to close out the campaign. It was the polar opposite of what the Jags had experienced at the end of the 2022 season, when they blitzed the AFC South and went on a 7-2 rampage.

Week 1 of the 2024 NFL regular season kicks off with the Chiefs vs. Ravens in a battle between reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes and 2023 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson.

That season-opener will take place at Arrowhead Stadium on September 5 and air on NBC, Peacock, and Fubo. The Chiefs are attempting to become the first team in NFL history to three-peat, a feat accomplished by few teams in all of professional sports throughout the generations.
