The Las Vegas Raiders have been without their left tackle Kolton Miller for the entirety of the offseason after he had surgery on his shoulder following the 2023 campaign.

But it looks like Miller is inching closer to his return to practice. Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler , Miller, who is currently on the active/physically unable to perform list, has been cleared by his doctor and could return to action over the next week or two, which puts him on track to be ready for Week 1.

"Left tackle Kolton Miller has been cleared by his independent doctor, so he's hoping to work his way back into practice action over the next week or two," Fowler wrote. "Week 1 should be looking good for him."

In his stead, the Raiders have been deploying free-agent signing and veteran Andrus Peat at left tackle. He's the insurance policy in the event that Miller's absence extends into the regular season.

Miller has become one of the better left tackles in the sport in recent years. Despite battling injury in 2023, the veteran posted impressive Pro Football Focus grades of 79.3 in pass protection and 73.3 in run-blocking.
