Barcelona's pursuit of Athletic Club’s Nico Williams appears to be stalling, prompting the Catalan giants to consider other options for bolstering their attack.

With time running out before the transfer window closes, Barca are now turning their attention to Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman as a potential alternative.

Williams, who had been a top target for Barcelona, seems set to stay at Athletic Club for another season after being handed the iconic No. 10 shirt.

While Barcelona had hoped to secure the 22-year-old’s signature, recent comments from Nico suggest that he intends to "make history" with Athletic Club, making his transfer to the Camp Nou increasingly unlikely.

With this in mind, Barcelona are exploring other options. Among those on their shortlist is Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, who could be available on an initial loan.

The French international is seen as a viable alternative, especially since other targets like Liverpool's Luis Diaz and AC Milan's Rafael Leao might prove too costly.

Barcelona’s interest in Coman is partly driven by their budget constraints, as they aim to keep spending under €62 million ($67.7m)—the amount they would have paid for Nico. With Bayern reportedly open to letting Coman leave on loan, Barcelona could move quickly to secure his services before the transfer window closes.

As the clock ticks down, Barcelona are not waiting around for Nico Williams. The club is prepared to act swiftly to ensure they have a strong attacking option in place for the new season, with Coman now emerging as a key target.
