Highest and lowest-rated players from Broncos win over Colts revealed

The Denver Broncos were able to get out of Lucas Oil Stadium with a 34-30 preseason victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Though Bo Nix is the talk of the town, Pro Football Focus did not have him as its highest-rated player for the game.

PFF runs several different analytics to come up with game-by-game grades for every player in the league as well as seasonal grades. Whether you buy into these or not, it does provide for some conversation.

According to PFF, linebacker Alex Singleton was the Broncos' highest-rated player against the Colts with a score of 89.9. The lowest-rated player came from the same inside linebacker group. Jonas Griffith earned a score of 36.0.

How will this factor into the position battle going on at inside linebacker?

Many fans may scoff at these grades, but he earned that score for a reason and it's likely the same things that were noticed by the Broncos' coaching staff. One would have to believe that Griffith is now far behind Cody Barton in the battle for the linebacker to start next to Singleton.

As for Singleton, it's always nice to see him getting the recognition that he deserves. He is one of the best players on the Denver defense and he is one of the more underrated players in the entire league.

Singleton had four tackles against the Colts in limited action, but Broncos fans know his value to the team as he is seemingly in on every defensive play.
