Red Sox to use same lineup for middle game of the series vs. Rangers

After the Boston Red Sox walked off the Texas Rangers 5-4 on Monday night , the two teams are set to meet again on Tuesday at Fenway Park.

For the matchup, Boston will send Kutter Crawford to the mound while Texas will counter with Jose Urena.

Crawford has been solid for Boston this year, posting a 4.11 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP while striking out 125 batters over 23 starts. He's allowed at least five runs in each of his last four outings. Eight Rangers have hits against him in his career - Ezequiel Duran (2-for-4), Adolis Garcia (1-for-5), Jonah Heim (1-for-5 with an RBI), Josh Jung (1-for-6), Nathaniel Lowe (2-for-8), Corey Seager (4-for-8 with two solo home runs and a walk), Marcus Semien (3-for-10 with two home runs and four RBIs) and Leody Taveras (2-for-6 with a home run and two RBIs).

Urena has made 27 appearances (eight starts) in 2024 for Texas, recording a 3.74 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP while striking out 55 batters. He allowed seven runs to Boston nearly two weeks ago. Five Red Sox have recorded hits against him in his career - Wilyer Bareu (2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs), Rafael Devers (3-for-8), Dominic Smith (3-for-17 with an RBI), Nick Sogard (1-for-2 with two RBIs) and Connor Wong (2-for-2 with an RBI).
