    Christian Mbilli vs. Sergiy Derevyanchenko undercard: Complete list of fights before main event in 2024 boxing match

    Top super middleweight contenders collide when Christian Mbilli faces Sergiy  Derevyanchenko on August 17. The fight takes place in Quebec City and will air on ESPN+.

    The 29-year-old Mbilli (27-0) has won 23 fights via knockout and has stopped two opponents via the power punch in 2024. One of those wins came against former British and Commonwealth champion Mark Heffron.

    The French fighter is number one in the WBC’s rankings at 168 and hopes to earn a title shot following this fight. However, he knows that securing an impressive win over Derevyancheko is no mean feat.

    “It’s hard to stop a fighter that is that solid and that always leaves everything on the ring,” Mbilli told The Ring . “You would have to be in terrific shape to stop him, which I think I am. I’m ready, physically and mentally to give him the toughest fight of his career.”

    Derevyanchenko (15-5) gained notoriety by pushing former champions Daniel Jacobs and Gennadiy Golovkin to the limit in decision losses. Since the Golovkin loss , he has gone 2-3, including setbacks against Jermall Charlo and Jaime Munguia. The 2007 World Championships bronze medalist has proven he can be a threat at any weight and is ready to continue that trend in 2024.

    Formidable heavyweights clash in a rematch from their amateur days on the undercard while several fighters look to move up in the rankings.

    Makhmudov (19-1) is a former NABF heavyweight champion. The Russian lost the belt against Agit Kabayel to end 2023, suffering a double fracture in his right hand in the middle of the fight. He rebounded with a knockout win over Miljan Rovcanin in May, his 18th win via the power punch.

    Vianello (12-2-1) is 2-2 in his last four fights and has ten wins via knockout. He is coming off a loss against Efe Ajagba in April.

    Both fighters are World Series of Boxing competitors, with Makhmudov beating Vianello at the amateur level in 2015. The fight is a shot at revenge for Vianello, while both can move up the rankings with a victory.

    “Vianello is a tough fighter but also a very good fighter, as we saw in his last fight,” Makhmudov said. “This is an important step for me. I want to show that I am a top contender and to get closer to my goal. I must prove that I’m better than this guy.”

    “I’m ready to compete against the top heavyweights in the world. This is only the beginning of my journey,” Vianello said. “The fight with Arslanbek is exactly what I wanted at this point in my career, and I look forward to a great fight on August 17 in Quebec City.”


    Osleys Iglesias vs. Sena Agbeko

    Iglesias (11-0) has ten wins via knockout and is r anked No. 3 in the super middleweight rankings by The Ring . The four-time Cuban National Championships silver medalist looks to go 3-0 in 2024.

    Agbeko (28-3) had his five-fight win streak end in December after being taken down by David Morrell. The Ghanaian has 22 wins via knockout.


    Leila Beaudoin vs. Lizbeth Crespo

    Leila Beaudoin faces Lizbeth Crespo .

    Beaudoin (11-1) is on a two-fight win streak and looks to go 2-0 in 2024. The 2019 Canadian Amateur Championships winner looks to reach the top of the WBO’s super featherweight rankings.

    Crespo (15-7) is a former IBF featherweight title challenger. The Bolivian is 2-2 in her last four fights, losing against Maira Moneo in December for interim lightweight gold.

    Mason (14-0) has received the Bob Arum stamp of approval. A multi-time USA Junior Open winner and a 2020 Youth National Championships finalist, the Ohio-born fighter has twelve wins via knockout and looks to go 4-0 in 2024.

    A Golden Gloves standout, Ohan (19-2) is on a three-fight win streak. "Bad Man" has nine wins via knockout, his last win via the power punch in 2022.


    Jahi Tucker vs. Santiago Fernandez

    • Tucker record : 11-1-1
    • Fernandez record : 8-1-1

    Jahi Tucker faces Santiago Fernandez.

    The 21-year-old Tucker (11-1-1) has five wins via knockout. The 2018 USA Junior Open Champion had an impressive win against Quincy LaVallais in June and looks for another statement-making win before the summer ends.
