The San Francisco Giants own a 61-61 record to date and sit 3 1/2 games back in the National League Wild Card race.

The team has performed slightly better in the second half after making moves to buy and sell at the trade deadline. They may be considered longshots to make the postseason, though.

Still, the Giants can't be overlooked. Kerry Miller of Bleacher Report ranked their starting rotation the fourth best in Major League Baseball.

"San Francisco's full-season stats aren't great, but that's largely a product of delayed arrivals," Miller wrote. "If the Giants do make the playoffs with this rotation intact, they could be a terrifying matchup.

Again, the Giants might be longshots to make it to the playoffs. Blake Snell hasn't had his best year despite his recent resurgence, and they'll have to jump over three teams to secure the third Wild Card spot.

The Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, and St. Louis Cardinals are ahead of them in the standings. But that doesn't mean their hopes are dead.

They have a solid one-two punch of Snell and Logan Webb that could be dangerous in October. They also have Robbie Ray, who has performed well since returning, plus young hurlers Kyle Harrison and Hayden Birdsong.

The Giants cannot be overlooked as the season winds down, and if they do reach the postseason, they could be a serious threat for a title with their rotation.
