NBA fans roast LeBron James for blurry new profile picture of USA Olympics team on X: 'This all makes sense now'

LeBron James is back to his unintentionally hilarious ways.

Days after leading the United States team to Olympic gold, James chose to pay homage to the squad by changing his profile picture on X (formerly Twitter) to a group photo on the Bercy stairs in Paris. And while the gesture was honorable, James' decision to use a low-resolution photo quickly made the rounds.

Complete with the #NewProfilePic hashtag, James made sure his 50 million-plus followers knew he had gone with a new display photo. As for the quality ... the blurriness speaks for itself.

It wouldn't be so bad if a higher-resolution version of the photo did not also exist, but it sure does.

Here are some of the best reactions to James' questionable photo choice.

Of course, one of the funniest reactions was @SplashBrosMuse informing James that a better version of the same photo was right there for the taking.

There was also the throwback to James' flip phone days, suggesting that was the quality level of the photo he chose.

Of course, a callback to James' curious decision to wear Wendell Carter Jr.'s lenses was appropriate.

And when you can make a reference to Chappelle's Show, you make it. Tyrone Biggums is curious if James has a photo with more pixels.

It's hard to say what led to James' selection of the pixelated profile pic. There's a chance that the quality was impacted as he uploaded it to X. There's also a reality in which he did not recognize a higher-quality version of the photo existed or he could just be oblivious to the issue at hand.

Regardless of why it happened, it's safe to say The Chosen One should have chosen a better version of his new profile pic. We'll see how long the pixelated version stays in place.
