What will the San Francisco 49ers do with star receiver Brandon Aiyuk?

At this point, it seems like he could end up staying in town.

Aiyuk has been in trade rumors for months as he has been looking for a new contract. He requested a trade and seemed like he was going to be moved but things may have changed.

The two sides still are working things out and now it seems more likely that he is going to stay in town. A handful of teams have shown interest in Aiyuk, including the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

If Aiyuk does get traded, it seems like the Steelers are the only option left. Aiyuk turned the Patriots down and New England now also has closed the door on a deal, according to Bleacher Report's Jack Murray.

"Brandon Aiyuk will not be a New England Patriot," Murray said. "The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver is on the trade block and the Patriots were a suitor. However, Aiyuk reportedly turned down the offer, and Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf said that the team "at this point" has closed the door on acquiring Aiyuk and is focused on developing its young talent."

This isn't too surprising after Aiyuk clearly turned the Patriots down. San Francisco will have to make a tough decision and the only thing that is clear at this point is the final solution won't involve New England.
