Meet ESPN's star-studded 'College GameDay' lineup for 2024, from Nick Saban to Pat McAfee

College football Saturdays are special, and it all starts with ESPN's "College GameDay."

The weekly show takes fans right up to the start of the day's games and brings together just about everything to love about college football: rabid fans, rivalries and, of course, heated debate.

The "College GameDay" panel received a jolt when Pat McAfee joined as a full-time analyst in 2022, and another new addition is shaking up the lineup this year with the legendary Nick Saban at the desk.

Who else is joining them? Here's a look at the complete "College GameDay" lineup for the 2024 season.

    Rece Davis

Davis is becoming a "College GameDay" veteran, as he's entering his 10th season on the desk as the host of the show.

Davis will continue to moderate the growing panel in 2024 while also introducing some of the show's feature stories each week.

    Pat McAfee

McAfee is easily the most controversial member of the "College GameDay" crew, though ESPN was likely well aware of that when he first joined the show in 2022.

The NFL punter-turned-TV host is outspoken and brash, which sometimes lands him in hot water . Still, he helps bring the energy for the show and looks like he will continue to be a part of ESPN's college football coverage long-term.

    Kirk Herbstreit

Herbstreit might be the busiest member of the "College GameDay" panel, considering he often jets off to call games immediately after the show ends. With Herbstreit also on "Thursday Night Football" duties for Amazon Prime Video, it's impressive he even has the time for the Saturday morning show.

One of the more levelheaded analysts at the desk, Herbstreit has been with ESPN's "College GameDay" since 1996.

    Nick Saban

ESPN is welcoming Nick Saban to the team in 2024, and it's not hard to see why. While Saban might not bring the same energy as McAfee, he's someone who has never been afraid to speak his mind. Oh, and he knows college football about as well as anybody.

The 72-year-old retired from coaching in January after a dominant 17-year stint at Alabama that included six national championships. Saban has seven national titles overall and spent 29 seasons as a college football head coach between Toledo, Michigan State, LSU and the Crimson Tide.

    Desmond Howard

Howard joined the "College GameDay" panel in 2005, three years after his 11-year NFL career ended. The former Heisman Trophy winner settled into his role as an analyst well two decades ago and has now been at the desk on Saturday mornings for 20 seasons.

Howard is at his happiest when Michigan is playing well; he spent his college career in Ann Arbor, winning the Heisman for his work as a receiver and returner in 1991.

    Lee Corso

Corso isn't done yet. Now 89, the legendary analyst has had a more limited role in recent years, but his pick of the week (and headgear) at the end of each show are still the highlight of each broadcast.

It isn't known whether 2024 will mark Corso's final season on the "College GameDay" panel. He's been on the desk since the show's inception in 1987 but didn't make the trip to Ireland for Florida State-Georgia Tech in Week 0. Once Corso retires, ESPN likely won't need to make an addition to the desk with Saban now part of the team.
