With Labor Day weekend comes a faceoff between two of the most storied volleyball programs in the country — Wisconsin and Texas.
All eyes will be on the defending champion Longhorns as they take on the No. 3-ranked Badgers in their home state. The two teams last met in the 2023 national semifinals, where Texas swept Wisconsin and continued on to claim its fifth national title.

What time is Wisconsin vs. Texas volleyball today?

Wisconsin and Texas will begin play at 12:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 1. The matchup is part of the inaugural Women’s College Volleyball Showcase being hosted by the NCAA at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum. The mini-tournament will include four of college volleyball’s premier programs, with Minnesota and Stanford filling the other two spots.
The Badgers will look to make another historic run this fall with the return of two key front row players — outside hitter Sarah Franklin and middle blocker Devyn Robinson. Franklin was named the AVCA National Player of the Year after the 2023 season.
Coming off of a 28-4 season, the Longhorns will be faced with a new set of conference play opponents after joining the SEC this year. Standout seniors Madisen Skinner and Keonilei Akana will return for the chance at a three-peat in their final season.
