Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor has been ruled doubtful ahead of Alabama’s matchup with South Florida tonight at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The 6’7” tackle from Des Moines, Iowa was a highly coveted five-star tackle, ranked No. 10 overall, who originally committed to Iowa in June 2022. After visits across the country to many of the countries top programs, Proctor had a change of heart and decided not to enroll in Iowa in December 2022. Shortly after his transfer Proctor committed to Alabama.

Last season, Proctor played a major role in Alabama’s drive for the College Football Playoff. Proctor was named to the All-SEC Freshman team. Following Alabama’s loss to Michigan in the College Football Playoff at the Rose Bowl, Nick Saban retired and Proctor entered the transfer portal and committed to Iowa.

After spending winter workouts with Iowa, Proctor had a change of heart and transferred back to Alabama in April.

Proctor competed and won the left tackle job during the summer. During warm ups prior to the 2024 season opener, Proctor injured his shoulder. Replacing Proctor was reserve lineman Elijah Pritchett.

During his weekly news conference this head coach Kalen DeBoer said Proctor’s return was more eminent labeling his status “day-to-day” versus “week-to-week.”
