COLUMBUS –State Rep. Cecil Thomas (D-Cincinnati) announced the June 26 passage of House Bill (HB) 2, the state’s biennial state capital budget, in both the Ohio House of Representatives and Senate. The record-setting $6.2 billion investment makes appropriations for state-owned infrastructure, colleges, universities and school districts as well as other community projects.
Cincinnati dispensaries ready for recreational cannabis sales, Kentucky buyers beware
COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) - In the next week or so, Greater Cincinnati medical marijuana dispensaries should be cleared to begin selling cannabis to recreational customers. The state already granted several local medical dispensaries provisional licenses, so it's just a matter of getting a state inspector inside to allow them to start selling recreational products to the public.
Lead detected in water at Cincinnati health clinic that serves city's poor
Tap water from multiple locations inside Cincinnati's Bobbie Sterne Health Center in Over-the-Rhine contains lead at levels that are higher than acceptable limits. The health center, which serves thousands of poor men, women and children every year, confirmed Wednesday that the Cincinnati Health Department and the Greater Cincinnati Water Works discovered the lead after testing 55 water sources throughout the clinic.

Inclement weather is expected Wednesday night, and that could mean cancellations for the multiple firework shows happening around Greater Cincinnati. The National Weather Service's detailed forecast for Wednesday night indicates that showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly before midnight, as well as a 60% chance of precipitation. Cincinnati may experience possible rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch. The forecast also calls for wind at 5 to 9 mph before becoming calm after midnight.

(WFCN) – Before it closes, a Greater Cincinnati book business is having a large sale. On July 7, the Colerain Avenue Half Price Books store in Northgate will close its doors. The corporate office stated that the store’s lease was about to expire and that a new agreement could not be reached. 2003 saw its opening.
