Heat pattern has begun and will stick around
Tonight will be a mild night in Southern Colorado with lows falling into the 60s across the region. We will have clear skies. The heat will remain for the start of your work week. Highs will be in the 90s to 100s. The triple digits will be in the Eastern Plains and Pueblo, while in Colorado Springs we will have highs in the mid-90s. We will remain dry as well. We do have the potential to break or tie some records.
US 285 closed due to grass fire burning near North Turkey Creek Road
Colorado Department of Transportation says US 285 is closed both lanes due to a grass fire burning near North Turkey Creek Road and Summer Road.CDOT advises drivers to seek alternative routes as traffic cameras show traffic stopped while crews work on the fire. The grass fire has prompted evacuations in the area. So far, the fire has burned three acres. CBS News Colorado will continue to provide updates.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) helped move a 600-pound moose spotted in a yard in south Jefferson County.
