Assault in Macarenas parking lot under investigation in West Texas
MIDLAND, Texas — Midland Police are investigating a disturbance involving weapons that occurred Sunday evening in the parking lot of Macarena’s at 4411 W. Illinois Ave. Officers responded to the scene at 5:46 p.m. and found two males involved in a physical altercation, according to a press release from the Midland Police Department. “The victim reported being in the passenger seat of a vehicle when the suspect opened the door and began to assault him,” the release stated. The victim claimed self-defense, striking the suspect with a nearby knife.
