Wadsworth's Blake Frantz to wrestle at Wheeling
Wadsworth incoming junior wrestler Blake Frantz has verbally committed to Division II Wheeling University in West Virginia. The two-time state qualifier earned his first All-Gazette selection last season after placing fourth at 106 pounds at the Division I state tournament in March. He finished among Medina County leaders in wins (37), winning percentage (.771) and takedowns (78) while winning Hoover Holiday and Wadsworth Sectional championships.

Massie seniors win high honors at Warren Co. Fair
They were rivals in the ring but friends after the show Friday as a pair of Clinton-Massie seniors-to-be took home top honors in the Warren County Fair’s Showman of Showmen competition. Delaney Chester won Grand Champion honors and Brylie Green won Reserve Grand Champion in the Showman of Showmen. Chester is the 2024 Clinton-Massie FFA president while Green attended the Warren County Career Center in the Veterinary Science program.
