Governor Wes Moore expected to endorse Kamala Harris for democratic nominee
BALTIMORE -- Maryland Governor Wes Moore may endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for president as early as Monday, after President Joe Biden announced that he was dropping out of the Presidential Race. He's been a firm supporter of President Biden throughout this process, serving on a national advisory board for the campaign, even as other Democrats ramped up pressure on Biden to consider dropping out. In a statement yesterday, he thanked President Biden for his dedication to the country and Maryland during his term. Moore pointed to his frequent partnership with the White House, highlighting infrastructure investment, job growth, and most notably, support in the wake of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. On CBS' Face the Nation last month, Moore said he would not pursue the Democratic nomination for president if Biden were to step aside and remained firm in standing behind him.

Multiple ramp closures planned due to the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project
Fairfax, Virginia – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced that several ramps will be closed next week to finish construction work as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. The closures are scheduled from Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, generally from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers are advised to follow the signed detours during these times.
Maryland woman, dual organ donor advocates for bill to give tax break to donors
A Maryland woman is advocating for a bill aimed at increasing the number of live organ donors. Lindsay Gutierrez, originally from Oklahoma, served in security forces for the U.S. Air Force from 2010 to 2016. After tours alongside her husband in both England and Georgia, she was transferred to Maryland to work with the Department of Defense. She currently lives in Ellicott City.
Downed wires shuts down Route 28 in Fairfax County
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. - Downed wires in Fairfax County have shut down Route 28 in both directions at Centreville Road. According to VDOT, drivers are advised to seek alternate routes after downed wires shut down a major roadway in Centreville, Virginia. No word on the cause of the downed wires. There could be potential traffic in the area, more than normal.

New Tysons-Bethesda bus service coming soon to I-495
Commuters will soon get the option to travel directly between Virginia and Maryland’s most populous counties by bus, though the initial journey likely won’t be swift. Fairfax County will receive $2 million from the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) to provide Fairfax Connector bus service between the Tysons West Park Transit Station (8300 Jones Branch Drive) and the Bethesda Metro station (7450 Wisconsin Avenue) in Montgomery County.
