Chído Taco Lounge Expands to Dallas

Frisco residents already know that Chído Taco Lounge is the ideal spot for tacos and tequilas. Soon, Dallas diners can enjoy the same great offerings, but without the drive up north. Because on May 24, Chído Taco Lounge will open a second location at 75 and Walnut Hill in the Preston Hollow Village Shopping Center.

Chído, which means “cool” in Spanish, has been a Frisco favorite since it debuted in 2021, serving as a go-to for tacos, cervezas and tequilas in a friendly and unpretentious atmosphere. Those tenets will carry over to the Dallas location, but the Preston Hollow Village spot will build on the original with Customs, a members-only tequila lounge on the second floor.

The restaurant will serve the same great food that in-the-know regulars already love, including an international lineup of classic and modern street tacos, like chicken tinga, barbacoa, jerk chicken and Korean barbecue. The kitchen is also making fresh soups, salads, burritos, a unique burger, birria ramen and so much more.

The bar complements the food menu with cold beers and fresh Margaritas, but the new Dallas location is putting a particular focus on agave spirits via the extensive selection of bottles and cocktails available at Customs. The lounge will stock coveted additive-free tequilas, mezcals and other Mexican spirits, while also offering private lockers where members can store their favorite bottles.

“After building up a loyal customer base in Frisco, we’re excited to expand our operation into Dallas and to share our concept with a new community of guests,” said Chído Taco Lounge owner Blaine McGowan. “We consider this new location like Chído 2.0, where our larger space will allow us to fully realize our love for agave spirits and give them the attention and spotlight they deserve.”
