Neubauer and Lynskey are SAHS Athletes of the Week

Maycie Neubauer

Girls lacrosse

After providing a team-high 39 goals a year ago, Maycie Neubauer was a productive contributor for the Stillwater girls lacrosse team again this season.

The senior supplied eight goals and three assists for the Ponies in their three state tournament games, helping them to a fourth-place finish. Neubauer was named to the All-Tournament Team after netting a hat trick in Stillwater’s first-round win over Minnetonka and third-place loss to Benilde-St. Margaret’s.

The Ponies finished the season at 13-5 after also claiming SEC and Section 4 titles.

Brock Lynskey

Boys lacrosse

One of the senior leaders for the Stillwater boys lacrosse team, Brock Lynskey helped lead a balanced attack all season for the Suburban East Conference and Section 4 champions.

Lynskey delivered eight goals and one assist as the Ponies placed fourth in the state tournament. Four of those goals came in the 12-9 loss to Eden Prairie in the season finale on June 15. He ranked among team leaders this season with 44 goals and six assists for 50 points.

Stillwater finished 15-4 after advancing to state for the third time in the past four seasons.
