Jaden Toombs is the No. 44 overall player in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking . The 6-foot-9 post player is currently with the USA Basketball U17 Team competing in Turkey for the FIBA U17 World Cup. Toombs, who plays his high school ball at Dallas (TX) Dynamic Prep, is averaging 15.7 points and 9.1 rebounds (third in the league) on Nike’s EYBL Circuit this summer.

“I got touch, I play hard, I can rebound, and shoot,” Toombs told On3 . “I can do a lot on offense, put guys on the post and pass. I’m getting more versatile on defense. My defensive versatility has grown a lot this summer.”

On3 was able to catch up with four-star Jaden Toombs after a recent live viewing to discuss his recruitment.

“Texas Tech is the only official visit I’ve been on so far,” Toombs said.

“I’ve known a lot about that program because that is where I’m from.” Toombs said. “The facilities are really nice, and the coaches are great. You can see that they care about their players. The atmosphere there was crazy. I went to their game against Texas and it was sold out. The crowd was wild, they were so loud.

The coaches show me a lot of love, for real. They text me after almost every game, they call me all the time, and I’m talking to a couple of the coaches on the staff, not just one.”

“I’m talking with schools like LSU, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State about possible visits,” Toombs said.

LSU : “They were my fist offer, so they have always shown me a lot of love. They really want me to get out there, so I want to get over there after the summer. Even with Coach Hamilton leaving, LSU still shows a lot of love, they still call and check up on me all the time, so I want to get out there for a visit.”

OKLAHOMA : “They’ve been recruiting me for a long time, but they just now offered after that first live session. I’m really close with Coach (Ryan) Humphrey. I like how they play, they play hard and they play through their bigs, so that stood out to me.”

OKLAHOMA STATE : “I just met them, they got a new staff, so we are just building our relationship. So, I want to get out there. They like how hard that I play and the motor I play with. They like for their bigs to have a skill set, and they said that is what they like about my game.”

“I think Louisville, Fresno State, Colorado, Vanderbilt, schools like that could jump in the mix,” Toombs said.

    In his words

“I would like to commit before the year is over,” Toombs said. “Hopefully before the November signing period.

“I want to go a school that will play hard and let me be me. Development will be big for me too. I would like to go to a place where I can go and use my full skill set while also being able to play really hard.
