Medical situation apparently leads to injury crash near Olpe
An Emporia woman suffered injuries after a crash near Olpe on Friday. Lyon County deputies, Emporia/Lyon County EMS and Olpe Fire responded to the junction of Kansas Highway 99 and Road 90, less than two miles north of Olpe, shortly after 4 pm. Deputy James Baker says the wreck involved a pickup driven by 80-year-old Glenda Miller, who apparently had unspecified medical issues prior to the crash. The wreck was initially reported as having a reckless driver component before the medical issues were discovered.
Highway Patrol announces extra troopers on highways this week
