Sheriff: Tuscarawas County man arrested for burglary, impaired driving
The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary incident that took place Monday evening. Justin Heston, 33, of the Newcomerstown area, was arrested for burglary and operating a vehicle while impaired after a 44-year-old Auburn Township woman reported an unknown male entered her residence and made it to the second floor.
Tuscarawas Co. man charged with 14th OVI
TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A Uhrichsville man was charged with his fourteenth OVI offense on June 24 after a hit and skip, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol. OSHP said 60-year-old John F. Owens was driving eastbound in a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer on State Route 39 in Dover Township when he struck a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado around 3:13 p.m.

Formal Charges in Alleged Shooting
The suspect in a shooting incident in Uhrichsville is facing possible prison time after being indicted on felony charges for allegedly shooting into an occupied vehicle. 20-year-old Mekhi Carlton is scheduled to be arraigned in Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Court later this month for felonious assault and discharging a firearm on or near a prohibited premises.
