Lost dog found alone on Seattle ferry dock heads to a new home
A lost dog found without its owner on a ferry dock in Seattle last month has found a new home. Washington State Ferries (WSF) explained in an X post published Friday afternoon ferry workers found the canine alone at Colman Dock early on June 12. They took care of the animal while the agency, which is part of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), searched for his owner in an attempt to bring him home. At the time, the X post stated the dog was going to be “transferred to animal control soon.”

Ode to a Garden Bench
My one-of-a-kind bench returns home after more than a decade away. In the early 2000s, I was quite involved in the Seattle gardening scene. I was a design columnist for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, a very active garden writer for national magazines, a board member of Northwest Horticultural Society, and board member of Pacific Horticulture Foundation.
Pet of the Week - Meet Granola!

I've seen my fair share of adventures and have plenty of stories to tell, mostly involving chasing tennis balls and taking long, leisurely walks. I might be a bit slower than I used to be, but my enthusiasm for belly rubs and treats hasn't waned one bit. I'm a friendly companion who loves nothing more than spending time with my favorite humans and soaking up all the affection I can get. If you're looking for an all-around nice guy who loves companionship with your family, then I'm your guy!
