Lost dog found alone on Seattle ferry dock heads to a new home
A lost dog found without its owner on a ferry dock in Seattle last month has found a new home. Washington State Ferries (WSF) explained in an X post published Friday afternoon ferry workers found the canine alone at Colman Dock early on June 12. They took care of the animal while the agency, which is part of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), searched for his owner in an attempt to bring him home. At the time, the X post stated the dog was going to be “transferred to animal control soon.”

Scene in Edmonds: Git Hoan Dancers
This Sunday’s Edmonds Concert in the Park was a City Park performance by the Git Hoan Dancers (People of the Salmon). Based in Lynnwood, Git Hoan showcases the magnificence of Tsimshian art, from masks and costumes to song, dance and storytelling. It was a display of music, costumes and dances that represented a culture of Alaskan native people, the Tsimshian Tribe from Metlakatla, Alaska. You can learn on the Git Hoan Dancers here.
Edmonds American Legion Post 66 announces winner of Gary Sinise drawing
During its July 4th community picnic, Edmonds American Legion Post 66 selected Steve Pennington, Sr. as the winner of a drawing for a framed original art piece of actor Gary Sinise, done by Edmonds artist Michael Reagan. The portrait, signed by both Sinise and Reagan, was donated by Reagan, with all proceeds going to assisting veterans and veteran organizations through the American Legion Post.
