Town of Newton's Free Summer Concert Under the Stars has New Location
NEWTON, NJ – The tradition of an summer concert under the stars continues in Newton with a slight change. On Saturday, August 10 at 7 p.m. Newton presents “The Tri-State Area’s Premiere Party Band” Epic Soul Band on the Sussex County Community College Connor Greene. Music lovers are invited to bring their families, chairs and blankets to the lawn at the college to enjoy the soul, funk and R&B band. Sparta Recieves $512K Grant for 'Jakes Law' Playground to Replace Kids' Kastle
SPARTA, NJ – The Kids’ Kastle playground at Station Park will be getting a make-over. The old structures will be dismantled and new “inclusive” equipment will be built in its place. The funding for the new facility is coming from a “Jake’s Law” playground grant. According to Sparta Recreation Director Jeanne Montemarano, the township’s request of $512,000 has been approved.
