Two Fair Lawn High School Grads to Join Fair Lawn Police Department
FAIR LAWN, NJ - The Borough has hired two new police officers, both Fair Lawn High School graduates, who will begin training at the Bergen County Police Academy tomorrow, August 1. Vincent Messina, 30, is a 2011 graduate of Fair Lawn High School. He was previously employed as a 911 telecommunicator with the Fair Lawn Police Department. Vincent is the son of retired Fair Lawn Police Sergeant Michael Messina and great-grandson of retired Fair Lawn Police Lieutenant Leo Welez. Patrick Jablonowski, 19, is a 2023 graduate of Fair Lawn High School. He was previously employed as a painter with M&W Painting. Patrick is currently enrolled at Bergen Community College with a major in psychology and is an avid boxer. Both officers will be assigned to the patrol unit upon completion of field training.
