An investigation is underway after a woman was found shot to death inside of a car riddled with bullet holes in South Los Angeles earlier this week.The shooting happened at around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2 near the Vermont Avenue exit of the 105 Freeway, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. "It was initially unclear whether the vehicle belonged to the suspect or the victim," the LASD release said. Brush fire in Dana Point damages restaurant
Fire crews quickly stopped the spread of a brush fire that broke out in a hillside community of Dana Point Friday, the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) said. The vegetation fire burned about a quarter acre before firefighters, who had to battle the flames in the steep terrain of the Baby Beach area, put it out quickly, an official with the OCFA said.

(The Center Square) - Over a two-year period, the city of Los Angeles impounded 555 vehicles that homeless people were living in according to a city report. The city gave housing to 186. The city encountered 2,503 vehicle dwellings and impounded about 1 out of every 4.5 vehicles that were inhabited by homeless people.
