Mayfield resident celebrates centennial birthday
MAYFIELD, Ky. — On June 29, 1924, Mayfield resident Wanda Burgess was born in Graves County. A century later this Saturday, she will celebrate her 100th birthday. Garbage collection fees set to increase for Paducah
The City of Paducah reminds everyone garbage collection fees will change July 1st. The residential fees, which haven't changed since 2009, will increase to $21 for residential customers with one rollout. Also, recyling fees will decrease to $1.50 per month. Commercial fees with one rollout are $29 per month.

Real Estate Parcel Fee for the Funding of 911 Services, Maintenance, and Equipment. The Paducah Board of Commissioners approved an ordinance creating a real estate parcel fee for the funding of 911 services, maintenance, and equipment. At a previous meeting, the Board approved an interlocal cooperation agreement with McCracken County for the provision of joint 911 services. The City and County are adopting the same rate structure with the McCracken County Fiscal Court approving a similar ordinance at its meeting last night.
