Cold Snap Threatens Sensitive Plants with Early Morning Frost. [BURLINGTON] — Issued by the National Weather Service at 3:37 AM EDT on September 3, 2024. The National Weather Service in Burlington, VT, has issued a Frost Advisory in effect until 9:00 AM EDT this morning for areas in northern New York and northeast Vermont, including Southeastern St. Lawrence, Southern Franklin, Western Essex Counties in New York, and Essex County in Vermont. Temperatures are expected to fall to the lower to mid-30s, resulting in frost formation that could damage or kill unprotected sensitive plants.
