Ogallala High School students benefit from MPCC Ready-to-Work program
Students from Ogallala High School are gaining valuable skills in applied technology thanks to a new Ready-to-Work Building Construction program. The program, offered through the Mid-Plains Community College Ogallala Campus, was designed with a dual purpose in mind. It provides an educational opportunity for students who might be interested in a career in the trades and also serves as an effort to meet workforce needs in Keith County.

Ogallala High School speech team takes 2nd at Alliance
Over the weekend, the Ogallala Speech Team took part in the Alliance Speech Meet. The Indians would take 2nd place at the meet. Members of the teams were recognized with individual honors. The Indians speech team will be back in action this Saturday at the Perkins County Speech Invite in Grant.
Alliance faces tough Ogallala teams in basketball doubleheader tonight
On Friday night Alliance and Ogallala girls' and boys' basketball face off in a battle between two competitive schools in Western Nebraska, as there will also be coverage on KCOW and Panhandle Post in Alliance. Our sister station "Flatrock 100. 7 in Ogallala tonight will also be streaming the simulcast of the KCOW broadcast as well.
