Despite high winds that tore through the north side of Lake McConaughy State Recreation Area May 23, the park remains open, with all campsites available. Visitors should be aware trees are down across the entire north shore and crews will be working all weekend to remove them. Power is currently out at Lone Eagle and Sandy Beach campgrounds, but power is expected to be restored by midday Friday.
