Paxton One-Act crowned D1-5 District Champions
Paxton Consolidated Schools announced that the Paxton One-Act team are the D1-5 District Champions. The one-act team went up against schools from Shelton, Silver Lake, Loomis, Cambridge, Red Cloud and Bertrand. Paxton students also took home awards. Students won Outstanding tech crew, 5 outstanding acting awards and Best actor (John Fricke) and best Actress (Miah Fox).
Ogallala library welcomes new art work piece
The Prairie Dust Devil was created by Omaha sculpture artist Les Bruning. The piece was commissioned to honor the legacy of Anne and Frank Svoboda for their contributions to the library. The Svobodas were longtime patrons of the arts and humanities in Keith County and Nebraska. A public dedication will be held for the sculpture in 2024.
