Derry Township School District's new rule prohibiting cell phones under 30-day review
HERSHEY, Pa. — The Derry Township School Board unanimously voted to advance a new policy on personal electronic devices for a 30-day review. The school district's new policy would prohibit students from using their cell phones or any personal electronic devices while they're on school property. At the elementary and middle school level, all personal devices must be turned off and put away in a student's book bag or locker during the day. High school students' cell phones must be turned off in accordance with the Student Handbook.
