Witches on Wheels to Take Over a Small Southern Indiana Town this Fall
Halloween is just around the corner, and when we think of Halloween, one character that often comes to mind is the witch. I would venture to say that most people picture the green-skinned, cackling, broom-riding witch from The Wizard of Oz. Margaret Hamilton’s unforgettable portrayal of the Wicked Witch of the West left a lasting impression on American culture. But long before her performance, the "wicked witch" was a vivid part of the imagination, thanks to the long and dark history of witches.
Indiana Texas Roadhouse Hosting Donation Night for Animal Shelter
On a special night in September, a Southern Indiana Texas Roadhouse plans to donate 10% of purchases to a local animal shelter. I may not visit Texas Roadhouse regularly, but it's safe to say it's probably my favorite national steakhouse chain. I've seldom had a disappointing meal at the restaurant, and let’s face it—those rolls are worth the visit on their own. In addition to all the delicious offerings at Texas Roadhouse, I now have another reason to visit the establishment. On September 18, one Texas Roadhouse locale plans to host a big donation night, with proceeds benefiting the Vincennes Animal Shelter.

It Ain’t Easy Being Sneezy: Peak Allergy Season Hits Indiana
September may mark the beginning of fall, but it's also peak allergy season for many in the Hoosier State. I love fall, from the leaves changing colors to bonfires with friends on a chilly Saturday evening. That said, September comes with a price for some of us. While I’d much rather be shopping for new flannels for the incoming cooler weather, instead I’m stocking up on tissues, nasal spray, and any other allergy medication I can get my hands on. Welcome to the peak allergy season for weed pollen.
